In the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 7, 2023, the life of 21-year-old Zakee Amir Shelton of Tolleson, Arizona, was tragically cut short. At approximately 2:02 a.m., Peoria Police officers were dispatched to the Natura Villas Apartments, located at 10847 W. Olive Avenue, after receiving multiple reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered a male, later identified as Zakee Shelton, lying on the ground outside one of the apartments with an apparent gunshot wound.
