In a quiet Goodyear, Arizona neighborhood, a tragedy unfolded that cut short the life of 18-year-old Aaliyah M. Anderson. On the afternoon of May 10, 2023, police responded to a call at a residence near Sarival Avenue and Elwood Street. Inside the home, they made a grim discovery: two individuals, both deceased from gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as Aaliyah, a student at Desert Edge High School, and her 41-year-old stepfather, John D. Castro.
