In a quiet Tolleson neighborhood, the morning of Sunday, August 27, 2023, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. When police arrived at the scene near 91st Avenue and Van Buren Street, just south of Tolleson High School, they discovered a man lying in the driveway of a home, suffering from a gunshot wound. The man, identified as 53-year-old Jimmy Davis, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. It was later revealed that Davis was the father of Tolleson City Councilman Jimmy Davis. The councilman, ...
