In the early morning hours of October 20, 2023, the life of 18-year-old Joshua Carter Jr. was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in north Phoenix. Responding to a call about a shooting just after 3:00 a.m., Phoenix police officers discovered the young man's body in the roadway in the area of 17800 North 19th Avenue. Phoenix Fire personnel arrived at the scene and pronounced him deceased.
