On November 11, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Peoria, Arizona, resulting in the deaths of a married couple, Walter Mitchell and Susie Ephrem. At around 4:10 a.m., police responded to a home near 79th and Peoria avenues following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Walter Mitchell, 52, dead inside the residence from gunshot wounds. Susie Ephrem, 42, was also found with life-threatening injuries from being shot and was immediately taken to the hospital.
