In the early morning hours of November 12, 2023, a large house party near Camelback Road and 55th Avenue in west Phoenix descended into chaos and tragedy. Amidst the hundreds of people at the gathering, gunfire erupted, leaving 23-year-old Carlos Vences Jr. with life-threatening injuries. The scene was described as chaotic, with crowds of people fleeing the house in the wake of the shooting.
