Ryan So, a 38-year-old detective with the Scottsdale Police Department, died on June 13, 2024, following a critical incident while serving an arrest warrant. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. near the Greenway-Hayden Loop between 78th and 76th streets in Scottsdale, Arizona. During the warrant service, a rifle accidentally fell out of a bag and discharged, resulting in Detective So being shot.
