In the summer of 2024, a shooting took place at a home on Bond Street in Kingman, Arizona, resulting in the death of 64-year-old Shawn Putnam. The white / caucasian, male was shot at his residence on July 25, 2024. He was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
Responding to the incident, law enforcement was met by the victim's son, 40-year-old Patrick Putnam.
The younger Putnam reported to authorities that he had been working on a rifle inside the living room of the home when the firearm discharged. It was Patrick Putnam who immediately contacted 9-1-1 for assistance following the shooting.
Detectives were called to the scene to take over the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Shawn Putnam's death. The case has since been noted as solved. Shawn Putnam's passing has been included in a gun violence memorial, where friends and family have been able to pay their respects.
