Terrell Brown, a 36-year-old Black male, was found shot to death just after 2:30 a.m. on June 5, 2015, in Omaha. A ShotSpotter alert drew officers to the area around North 24th and Sprague; they discovered him in or near an alley behind a cluster of businesses, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Family members at the cordoned-off block identified him at the time as a father of four, and police began canvassing for witnesses as daylight broke over the neighborhood.
