A 38-year-old Black man named Michael Wilson was tragically killed in a shooting incident in Omaha, Nebraska on the night of April 4, 2020. The events leading to his death began to unfold near 28th and Spencer Streets, where an altercation took place.
Following the initial dispute, Wilson was shot and subsequently driven to a different location at 28th and Parker Streets.
It was from this second location that authorities were notified and emergency responders were dispatched to the scene. Upon their arrival, they found Wilson in an extremely critical condition. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Michael Wilson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The Omaha Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide. In connection with the fatal shooting, a 21-year-old individual later turned himself in to the authorities and was subsequently booked into jail.
