In the early afternoon of June 12, 2020, the life of John Miles, a 41-year-old Caucasian male from Council Bluffs, Iowa, was tragically cut short in an apartment complex in northwest Omaha, Nebraska. Officers from the Omaha Police Department were dispatched to the scene near 79th and Blondo Streets shortly after noon following a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Miles' body inside one of the apartments.
