On a Saturday night in Omaha, Nebraska, the life of 20-year-old Demetrius Johnson, a Black / African American male, was cut short by gun violence. The events unfolded on November 20, 2021, at DJ's Dugout, a sports bar in the western part of the city. Police were initially called to the establishment for a report of shots fired.
