John Armstrong, a 52-year-old White male, was found fatally shot just after noon on April 9, 2024, inside an apartment at 1109 G Street near 11th and G in downtown Lincoln. Officers were dispatched on a report of a shooting and discovered him with a gunshot wound to the head; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities publicly identified him the following day as a Lincoln resident. An online memorial later noted that he was lost to gun violence on that date, and funeral-home records listed ...
