On the evening of April 4, 2014, a visit to a friend's apartment in Lincoln, Nebraska, turned tragic for 21-year-old Justin Felty, a White/Caucasian male. At approximately 7:30 p.m., within the LionsGate apartment complex located near 52nd and R streets in the northern part of the city, an unforeseen event led to the end of his young life. He was in the company of a friend when a gun his friend was handling unintentionally discharged.
