Latahesia Hill, a 37-year-old Black/African American female from Wilmington, Delaware, was killed on April 13, 2021, when gunfire broke out on the city’s east side. The shooting happened in the area of 10th and Pine Streets, where three women were struck. Hill, who was also known by loved ones as “Tee Tee,” did not survive. Two other women, ages 23 and 26, were wounded and taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Reports from the day of the shooting described a chaotic scene in
the middle of the intersection, with Hill’s family learning almost immediately that she had been shot outside near her home. Her sister said she had been on her way to pick Hill up for a new job when police tape blocked the area, and the family later spoke of her as a caring, kind person whose death left them grieving and demanding justice. As police rushed toward the shooting scene, two Wilmington officers were also hurt in a crash about a mile away, adding to the turmoil surrounding the response.
In the immediate aftermath, authorities were still searching for the person or persons responsible. At that time, no public suspect had been named, and investigators continued trying to determine what led to the gunfire. The case remained tied to a broader pattern of violence in Wilmington before later being folded into a larger prosecution involving alleged members of the Exit 4 group.
Years later, prosecutors announced that Neiamjha Rollins of Wilmington had been convicted in connection with Hill’s homicide. On May 15, 2026, Rollins, then 19, was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple crimes, including Manslaughter in connection with Hill’s 2021 killing. His plea also included Illegal Gang Participation, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Conspiracy First Degree, Conspiracy Second Degree, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Attempted Robbery First Degree, and Assault First Degree.
Delaware prosecutors described the case as part of a wider series of crimes allegedly committed by members of Exit 4 between January 2020 and December 2024. That alleged pattern included the murders of at least four victims, including Hill, as well as attempted murders and other violent offenses. In the same announcement that named Rollins’ sentence, officials listed several defendants connected to the broader prosecution and their pleas or convictions, including Nyair Small, Nasiir Watson, Donte Richardson, Daeshawn Shields, Amir Henry, Curtshawn Palmer, and Maurice Harrigan. The public information most directly tying a conviction to Hill’s death identified Rollins and his manslaughter plea and sentence.
By the time prosecutors announced Rollins’ prison term, Hill’s case had moved from an unsolved triple shooting to a resolved prosecution within a larger gang-related investigation. What began as an afternoon of sudden gunfire at 10th and Pine Streets became part of a years-long effort by Wilmington police and the Delaware Department of Justice to hold members of the alleged group accountable for multiple killings and attacks across the city.
