On July 4, 2006, in Portland, Maine, 31-year-old Brenda Lee (Levier) Warren was fatally shot by her husband, 35-year-old Fred F. Warren Jr., in front of their home. Following the shooting, Fred Warren took his own life, resulting in a murder-suicide. This tragic incident was classified as a domestic violence case.
