In the street in front of their home, Brenda was shot and killed by her husband, 35-year-old Fred Warren. Immediately after taking his wife's life, Fred Warren turned the gun on himself, ending his own life in a horrific act of murder-suicide.
The incident left the community in shock and Brenda's family, including her mother, father, and brother, mourning her sudden and violent death. The investigation concluded that Brenda Warren was the victim of a domestic violence homicide, with her husband being the sole perpetrator. As the assailant took his own life, no arrests were made in connection with her murder.
