On March 25, 1994, two-year-old Sarina Towle, known as "Pretty," was found brutally murdered in her bedroom in a Danforth Street apartment in Portland, Maine. She lived there with her mother, two brothers, and her mother’s boyfriend. Sarina had died from multiple internal injuries caused by blows to her chest, and police later confirmed that she had also been sexually assaulted.
