On May 12, 2015, 61-year-old David A. Grant was found shot to death in the front yard of his mobile home at 114 Packard Road in Parkman, Maine. The state medical examiner determined that he died from multiple gunshot wounds. His son, 38-year-old Zachary Grant, was discovered inside the residence with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face. He was transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor and later to Acadia Hospital for treatment.
