In the autumn of 2014, the life of 36-year-old David Leroy Vallie Sr. was tragically cut short. On October 2, 2014, Vallie was discovered in the front yard of a residence at 619 North 31st Street in Billings, Montana. He had sustained a single, fatal gunshot wound to his abdomen. Emergency services were called to the scene, but nothing could be done to save him. The incident was quickly determined to be a homicide, launching an investigation by the Billings Police Department.
