Leonard L. Peak Jr., a 49-year-old resident of Arlee, Montana, was fatally shot on the Flathead Indian Reservation on the afternoon of January 17, 2018. The individual who fired the weapon was immediately taken into custody but later released following questioning. As of the initial reports, no charges had been filed.
