In the early hours of February 2, 2020, the life of 21-year-old Senior Airman Tristen Carlson, a White male, was tragically cut short in Great Falls, Montana. A graduate of Sidney High School in 2016, where he had been a student-athlete playing football and baseball, Carlson was serving with the 341st Security Forces Squadron at Malmstrom Air Force Base. The incident that led to his death unfolded at an off-base party hosted by a fellow airman.
