On April 26th, an argument at Myron's residence escalated into a tragedy that would end one man's life and lead to a long prison sentence for another. A man named Colby Allen Clark, then 22, arrived at the house with the intention of purchasing drugs.
He walked into a heated argument between Myron and the other occupants of the house. According to witness testimony, Clark became involved in the dispute, repeatedly telling Myron to leave the premises. When Myron refused to back down and instead charged at him, Clark warned him to back off multiple times. The confrontation reached a devastating climax when Clark fired a single shot, killing Myron.
Immediately following the shooting, Clark fled the scene in a friend's truck, initiating a crime spree that extended beyond Billings. He drove to Butte, where, four days later, his string of offenses culminated in the shooting and injury of another man during an attempted robbery at a park. This second act of violence ultimately led to his capture.
Colby Allen Clark was later sentenced to 75 years in prison for the deliberate homicide of Micah Aaron Myron. His defense pointed to a deeply troubled and traumatic childhood, marked by exposure to violence, drug abuse, and abandonment, as a mitigating factor. Court records revealed a criminal history that began at the tender age of nine.
