Maxine “Mickey” L. Heil, a 62-year-old Caucasian woman, was tragically killed on Tuesday, June 9, 2020. Born in Kalispell, Montana on July 16, 1957, Mickey was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Described as having a gypsy soul, she found immense joy in the outdoors, often spending her time camping, picking wildflowers, and searching for the perfect heart-shaped rock to add to her collection. Her artistic talents were evident in everything she did, and she had a particular fondness for creating miniatures. Above all, she took the greatest pride in her family.
The events that led to her untimely death began to unfold in Flathead County.
Her death was the result of gun violence. Law enforcement officials identified a suspect in her homicide. A chase ensued, and the suspect was ultimately shot and killed by deputies in the Woods Bay area. The suspect died following a confrontation with law enforcement. The individual was identified as the primary suspect in Mickey Heil's death.
