In the quiet, early morning hours of January 19, 2022, a tragedy unfolded in the small community of Big Arm, Montana, ending the life of 79-year-old Florence Brown, a Caucasian female. Responding to a report of a possible homicide-suicide just before 4:30 a.m., Lake County deputies arrived at the residence she shared with her son.

Inside the home, authorities discovered Florence Brown and her dog, both fatally shot. Her 48-year-old son, Kirk Brown, was also found with a gunshot wound. He ...
