On February 28, 2022, 77-year-old Dennis L. Rogers was found dead in his Post Falls, Idaho home from a gunshot wound. His wife, 76-year-old Cheryl Rogers, was arrested at the scene and charged with first-degree murder.

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call from Cheryl Rogers herself, where she reportedly admitted to shooting her husband. Deputies arrived to find Dennis Rogers deceased and took Cheryl Rogers into custody.
