In the early morning hours of March 12, 2022, a sense of unease settled over a Motel 6 in Rexburg, Idaho, as the sound of gunfire shattered the pre-dawn quiet. A 37-year-old Caucasian female, Iliana Jespersen, was visiting from Arizona with her husband, 49-year-old Jason Jespersen. The couple was staying in a room on the ground floor when the tragic events unfolded.
