On June 29, 2014, Dr. David L. Landseadel, a 48-year-old chiropractor from Rumney, New Hampshire, was found dead near Stinson Lake, having suffered a single gunshot wound to the head. The incident stemmed from an altercation with his neighbor, 61-year-old Edward Healey, with whom Landseadel had a contentious relationship, primarily over shared dock space.
