In the early hours of Mother's Day on May 13, 2018, the parking lot of the Imperial Buffet restaurant in Claremont, New Hampshire, became the scene of a fatal shooting. Just after midnight, police received a 911 call and responded to the restaurant on Washington Street. There they discovered 36-year-old Jesse Jarvis, a White male resident of Claremont, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the arrival of first responders, Jarvis died at the scene.
At the time of the incident, a considerable number of people were present both inside and outside the restaurant.
An autopsy conducted by the Chief Medical Examiner later confirmed that Jesse Jarvis's cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds, and the manner of his death was ruled a homicide. The investigation into the shooting revealed that Jarvis, who had a lengthy criminal record, was known to be involved with a white supremacist prison gang which he reportedly founded.
