On August 10, 2020, Amy Molter, a 46-year-old Caucasian female, was reported missing in Dover, New Hampshire. The following day, after attempts to make contact with her ex-boyfriend went unanswered, police entered his apartment. Inside, they discovered a tragic scene.
Amy Molter was found deceased on the living room floor. Her ex-boyfriend, 41-year-old Rudy Ferretti, was found deceased in his bed with a firearm located near him.
An investigation into the circumstances of their deaths ensued, shedding light on the final moments of their lives.
The New Hampshire Associate Medical Examiner, Dr. Christine James, determined that Amy Molter's death was a homicide caused by a single gunshot wound to the head. Dr. James concluded that Rudy Ferretti's death was a suicide, also from a single gunshot wound to the head. Based on the investigation, authorities believe that Ferretti shot and killed Molter before taking his own life.
