On a Sunday morning in Manchester, New Hampshire, the quiet of Derryfield Park was broken by a grim discovery. On October 24, 2021, the body of 20-year-old Thamba Mbungu, a Black / African American male, was found unresponsive near the playground. Emergency services, including the Manchester fire department and AMR ambulance, were dispatched to the scene on Bridge Street, but it was too late.
