On the night of May 12, 2023, a quiet road in Brookfield, Vermont, became the scene of a fatal encounter. A Hispanic male, 27-year-old Juan Sierra of Springfield, Massachusetts, was shot and killed outside a residence on Route 14. His death, later ruled a homicide by the Chief Medical Examiner's Office, was caused by a gunshot wound to the torso.
