On January 6, 2018, Gregory Charles Davis, 49, of Danville, Vermont, was abducted from his home by a masked individual posing as a U.S. Marshal with a fabricated arrest warrant. The following day, Davis's handcuffed body was discovered in a snowbank along a rural road in Barnet, Vermont.
