On July 16, 2007, 42-year-old taxi driver Jose Rodriguez was fatally shot in Central Falls, Rhode Island. While transporting three passengers from Providence to Central Falls, Rodriguez sensed something was amiss and called his wife to express his concerns. Tragically, during this ride, he was shot in the back of the head by one of the passengers, causing his taxi to crash. The incident occurred on Rodriguez's birthday, adding to the heartbreak of his untimely death.
