In the early hours of June 26, 2018, 57-year-old David Page drove to a residence on Lowell Avenue in Providence, Rhode Island, to pick up two passengers. After his passengers entered the vehicle, a stolen black Audi sedan with tinted windows pulled alongside. Occupants of the Audi fired at least nine shots from a Smith & Wesson .22 caliber long rifle pistol at the residence and Page's vehicle before fleeing the scene.
