On June 22, 2022, in Cumberland, Rhode Island, 42-year-old Courtney Huard was fatally shot by her husband, 51-year-old Eric Huard, in their Birchwood Drive home. Following the shooting, Eric turned the gun on himself, resulting in his death. Their three children were present in the home during the incident but were unharmed.
