On August 6, 2014, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, 20-year-old Kayla Paetow was tragically killed in a murder-suicide incident. Her fiancé, 32-year-old John Ernest Vigus, fatally shot Kayla before turning the gun on himself. The couple had recently moved to Sioux Falls from Freeman, South Dakota, about a month prior to the incident.
