On June 29, 2020, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, 40-year-old Tracy Obert Saboe was fatally shot in his home. The assailant, 45-year-old Alton Ray Bear, mistakenly entered Saboe's residence, believing it belonged to another individual he intended to confront. After a brief altercation, Bear shot and killed Saboe.
