On October 24, 2021, in Wessington Springs, South Dakota, 90-year-old Lorraine Redmann was fatally shot in her home. The incident began when her grandson-in-law, 39-year-old Mitch Caffee, forcibly entered her residence to confront his estranged wife, Kathren Caffee, over a recent arrest for violating a no-contact order between them.
