On the evening of March 8, 2024, the life of 24-year-old McGarland Walker, a Black male known to his loved ones as Mack, was tragically cut short in Rapid City, South Dakota. Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 4500 block of Candlewood Place, where they discovered Walker deceased from a gunshot wound.
