Elaine Marie Ahu, a 74-year-old Native Hawaiian woman from Hilo, was one of two women killed in a late-night shooting at the family's Leilani Street home in February 2013. Police were called after reports of gunfire and found Ahu and her daughter, Rhonda Lynn Alohalani Ahu, both suffering fatal wounds; both were taken to Hilo Medical Center, where they were pronounced dead.
