On May 6, 2016, seven-year-old Clara Hoffman was found dead in her home in the Leilani Estates subdivision of Pahoa, Hawaii. Her death was ruled a homicide, and her father, John Ali Hoffman, was arrested and charged with her murder, as well as the murders of her five-year-old brother, John, and their mother, Aracely Hoffman.
