Jolene Kapua Allison, a 54-year-old Native Hawaiian female, was found dead on April 8, 2018, inside a home in Mountain View on Hawaiʻi Island, in a scene that investigators would soon classify as a murder-suicide. The quiet of the Puna community was broken when authorities were called to the residence and discovered that she and her husband, Hawaiʻi Police Department officer Christopher R. Kapua-Allison, were both deceased.
