On March 4, 2025, 25-year-old Latisha Soares, a Native Hawaiian woman from Mountain View, Hawaii, was fatally shot in a domestic violence incident that escalated into a deadly confrontation. The suspect, 28-year-old Isaiah Kaleo Jiaan Fourshey, was the ex-boyfriend of Latisha's sister and was reportedly out on bail for a prior felony domestic abuse case involving his ex-girlfriend. Despite a court order to stay away from her, Fourshey initiated a violent spree that culminated in Latisha's death.
