On August 25, 2020, 26-year-old Peter Cyrus Grammer was fatally shot in Mountain View, Hawaii. The incident occurred in broad daylight on North Kulani Road, near Highway 11.

Dwayne Cory Wallace Jr., a 27-year-old resident of Puna, was arrested and charged with Grammer's murder. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison.
