On January 2, 2007, Calvin Leroy "Old Dog" Randolph, aged 28, was shot and killed in the courtyard area behind the 200 block of L Street, Southwest, Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 9:51 p.m. Responding officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) found Randolph at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
