In the early hours of November 10, 1978, Carl Nelson and his wife, Willene, were brutally murdered in their home in the Rosa community of Blount County, Alabama. The couple was attacked by two men, former employee Arthur Lee Giles and his accomplice, Aaron Jones, who entered the Nelson residence with the intent to rob Carl Nelson.
