On October 16, 1994, James Watkins, aged 52, was among five individuals fatally shot during a robbery at the Changing Times Lounge in Birmingham, Alabama. The other victims included Pamela Dodd, 37; Lester "Eddie" Dodd, 38; Florence Elliot, 45; and William Nelson, 52.

The assailants, Stephen Pilley and Andrew Anthony Apicella, were apprehended and tried separately for the murders. Both were convicted and sentenced to death. Pilley died of liver disease in 2009, and Apicella succumbed t ...Read More
