In the quiet town of Slocomb, Alabama, the night of April 25, 2015, was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 26-year-old Demetrius Fryer, a Black male. Fryer was discovered on Mulberry Street, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
