On July 11, 2015, the body of 18-year-old Haleigh Green was discovered near her vehicle in a wooded area off Shelby County Road 315 in Columbiana, Alabama. Green had been reported missing days earlier after failing to attend her classes at Lawson State Community College. Preliminary reports indicated that she had been fatally shot.
