On January 4, 2021, 48-year-old Amanda Mooney Falkner of Columbiana, Alabama, was fatally shot by Shelby County Sheriff's deputies during a domestic disturbance incident. Deputies responded to a 911 call at approximately 5:36 p.m. at Falkner's residence on the 1400 block of Mooney Road.
